Tired and Puffed Out

Yesterday we had the Athletics Inter-schools competition, we were going against other schools. I was very nervous and scared that other people might beat me but I still tried my best. I had three races which were the 200 and 100 metre run. I was also apart of the relay team.

For the 200 metre heat I placed second so I made it into the finals, but sadly I didn't place. I was still proud of myself though. A while later it was time for the 100 metre race and I came fifth. Then for the relays we came third in the finals and the heat. I was so puffed out and tired when we finished. But I really enjoyed the whole experience and I can't wait to go again next year!

Fight for survival in Fire Service's burning house

Related imageThe New Zealand fire service has started to exist software that puts you right in ground zero, inside a house full of fire. As the flames takes the effective home, then you fight for survival and you try to get out from the fire that is spreading around the house. The Fire Service used a real house, and recorded it burning with flames with their 3D cameras. In a house fire, you really just have one shot on getting it right when a fire starts. The Fire Service hopes that the program will help you with what you need to know and to get out of the fire alive.
