A water geyser from a burst pipe in Wellington suburb has councils workers scrambling hours after another water main had burst. The Wellington City Councils first advise that the water was off in Carleton Tce in Tawa and surrounding for four to six hours due to burst main on Sunday morning. Then they said that a large main burst on Thatcher Cres and Silverstream Rd in Crofton  Downs and water is turned of there for a similar of time. Council spokesman Richard MacLean say the two event weren't related. He said there were a lot of old cement pipes in Tawa area and they were gently being replaced.
